There have sometimes been locations I have shot at that I have to really push myself to utilize, not that the location hasn’t been beautiful, but that it doesn’t fit with the style that I am drawn to. Since moving to Colorado, I feel like I’m in my happy place with photography locations! The natural beauty here fits so well with what I love in a photograph.  And just to make it even better, add in a beautiful and loving family, with outfits perfectly coordinated to match the environment!

Last fall I participated in the on-line workshop “Finding the Light”. I’ve been meaning to share some of those images. It’s always great to have a push to photograph outside of my lighting comfort zone. Here are a few of mine from the workshop!

I met up with these two lovely ladies early last fall. They had put together some hippie themed outfits for the shoot and were amazing models. It was my first time shooting in the desert and I loved everything about it!

And a little photoshop before and after magic!! I love the hidden desert colors!

I am definitely leaning towards lifestyle newborn sessions if and when I resume taking clients. This was a session from late last summer where we did a little bit of lifestyle, some outdoor shots, and some of my usual shots. It was fun to have such a good mix!
